BBQ Chicken Dinner

I wanted to share one of the simplest meals I prepare at home using 3 items we carry in the shop. Below are the recipes for a baked BBQ chicken using Doxieguy BBQ sauce, Bourbon infused honeyed carrots using Cloister's Honey, and pasta aoili using Spicewalla's Amore Italian seasoning.

BBQ Chicken

  • 3 - 4 Boneless Chicken Breasts Truly you can use thighs or bone in breasts if you'd rather, but trust me, the boneless chicken breasts will be juicy and tender.
  • 1 Bottle Doxieguy BBQ Sauce I also make this with Reece's Apple of My Eye and love it too.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place chicken in a baking dish and pour 1/2 the bottle of BBQ over the chicken.
  • Flip the chicken breasts and pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.
  • Place in preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. The juices will run clear (although it's hard to tell with red bbq sauce, so I usually can tell because the sauce has carmelized on the chicken and the chicken has puffed up. I'll slice one to be sure but 30 minutes is dead on for up to 4 breasts. If you have more, increase the time by 10 minutes for every 2 breasts. If they're super big, then cut them in half or increase the time.

This is so easy and delicious it can't be compared. It's a regular go to meal in our house when we short on time or need something simple.
And trust me, do not overcook the chicken. It will be tough and chewy. The sauce helps hold in the juices of the chicken that make it tender, so this should turn out tender and moist.
